First: Maybe Pat's death was really according to God’s allowable will and timing. May 5th, 2007 was simply his time to go. So, could it be that his death is what really was represented by him being flipped in the water, according to the prophetic vision Bob Jones had nearly 30 years before. The floods exploding could represent a mighty financial blessing that IHOPKC received after his death. Lisa Stribling mentioned the signs in the natural in the heavens and the abundance or rain, and that the floods occurring that night was very strategic in the heart of God. Pat died on May 5th or 5/5 because that number represents God’s grace in the Bible.

The word of the Lord for IHOPKC and KC as whole could have been Zechariah 4:7, “Grace, Grace…!” That revival was still to follow on the heels of Pat’s death, but not the next day. Mike said, “Pat was part of the storyline, ‘Raise you up.’” The renewal sort of began on that day, but the Lord wasn’t held to the actual date. The day may prove important someday. That is when it began. Not necessarily the exact day, but it marked the season. It was a timing indicator of something new or new season but did not reflect the actual day when renewal began.”1 IHOP Kansas City received a million dollars to buy some of former Harry S Truman’s property from an elderly couple on the day needed within 8 months after Pat died. IHOPKC bought this significant piece of property debt free 50 years to the date. It was sold to this couple by Harry S. Truman. Then on Pat’s birthday, September 15th IHOP received 3.3 million dollars to purchase the Grandview Plaza to build the IHOPU campus on. Wow!

Then in on November 11th, 2009, Nighty one years to date after WW1 ended and about one and half years after Pat died, God started to bring renewal to the House of Prayer through the IHOP University and Wes Hall. IHOPKC began to have nightly renewal meetings and Wes Hall was used to lead many of these meetings. For me, it seemed like a restart of the Toronto Blessing in Kansas City. A young man named Jordan who would often pray 6 hours a day was part of Wes’s classes, and he would pray hours in the spirit. One day he went to the ER of a local hospital and prayed for one guy who had obviously seriously injured his foot and was in a lot of pain, and he prayed for the man and the pain disappeared and he was able to leave. Later during a street evangelism outing he prayed for a man who was overcome by the Holy Spirit and fell over. When Jordan went into the services, he would see golden aurora in the room, and he would see white flashes and would see orbs around the worship instruments. Many people were deeply touched. Many physical healings took place. Rachel Beauchamp’s knee dramatically was healed; another woman had a lump on her breast supernaturally removed. Another woman who had fallen seven stories’ years before was physically healed at the awakening. Spiritually, emotionally many, many, young people were impacted magnificent ways and profound ways. Allen Hood was just so excited on how the Lord was healing us and pouring his love out upon young people and that Jesus likes us, and this outpouring conservatively speaking touched many thousands of young people. The Awakening was webcast to over 180 countries and reports healings came in from other places of supernatural healings.2

Chris Mohlke had an amazing testimony concerning what happened to him at the Awakening. He had been in prison for drugs but was radically reborn again and freed from jail. He started watching GOD TV and heard of the Awakening. He came one night a large group of people were being touched: shaking, crying out to God, and it was real, but some of it could be fake and made up (humanity at work). This one-night Shelly Hundley was on stage sharing her testimony about being healed from Crohn's disease. Chris recalled her saying how it felt like she got electrocuted when it happened. Then the Lord spoke to him and said, “I want you to get baptized. “Baptisms were happening that night. There was at least fifty people in line to get baptized when three different people distinctly prophesied, that “he was going to minister to people that were on drugs and help them get off drugs.” As Chris was in line it was like a big wave hit him from the front and he fell back into the people behind him, and it was like a really peaceful shove backwards as when you are standing in water in the ocean and get hit by a big wave. Then he started sweating as he was about to being baptized. God TV was televising it which caused him to be nervous, and Chris prayed for the Lord to give him calmness. “Then an incredible spirit of peace came over him as the lady came up and brought him forward to get baptized. As he went under the water it was like his whole body got electrocuted and his body was stiff under the water and he didn’t feel like he needed to take a breath. It was a wonderful experience. Then the guys said, “get him out” and they grabbed him and pulled him out and they put a towel around him walking him to the back where kids then prayed for him and he fell then down face down on the floor, and it was the most one of the most amazing experiences in his life. Chris was just one of many testimonies from the Awakening.3

Richard Heitz was at the Awakening/One thing conference at the end of 2009 with a bunch of people from a non-charismatic church in Illinois. While there he had someone pray for him and he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Then the group began their way back to Illinois and stopped at an IHOP (Pancakes). There were other people from the conference there. They started to sit down at people’s tables around the restaurant. It was like a tangible presence of God filled the place and people started to get born again all over the restaurant as the people let them share Jesus with them. When Richard got home it was like a whole revival broke out over the town he was from. This one woman who was in the church, her son was in a gang and he got shot. Richard and others gathered at the hospital and while at the hospital Richard became very bold and said, “I am going to tear off part of my shirt, and we are going to pray over it, give it to his mother and then he will be fine.” The man died on the operating table, but the mother laid the cloth on the young man and he was resurrected. Then later in a coffee shop a homeless man came walking in and Richard prayed for him and touched his right ear and then the guys screamed. He had been deaf in one ear for 9 months and he was instantly healed. The coffee shop became a place of a mini revival and people got delivered of demons and saved which had its origins at the Awakening.4

During the Awakening Joseph Taylor was working with the Apostolic Preaching and Prayer track who were sold out and seeking the Lord and contending for a move of the Lord. Joseph went with a group of students to Boston and felt the Tenderness of the Lords Presence and prayed for a lot of people to receive spiritual freedom. There was some exaggeration with these experiences but there were a lot of people who were set free and received healing.

But as for me I was not satisfied and went to several of these meetings and tried to find the middle of the stream of what God was doing. I would wade into a sea of people who seemed like they were being touched but I found that I felt little, but those around me were being touched. My roommates Jeff Green, and Dan Ebel, felt the lighting of God go through them. My old friend Dan Gilliland’s wife, Donna, felt the power of God go through her as she was being prayed for so because I was not feeling much it didn’t mean nothing was happening. I became a true believer of what was happening in late December of 2009 at Bartle Hall. This seemed like the beginning ofa fulfillment of a prophecy given by Paul Cain about that this place at the One Thing conference when there were 20,000 (Paul Cain had a decade earlier prophesied that 40,000 would come there some day. Then mostly young people in their teens and twenties were being touched and encouraged by teachings and the power of the Holy Spirit touched and healed people in various small to medium ways. Of course, if you are the one being healed it is important!

In Bartle Hall on New Year’s Eve, the Holy Spirit was there. I was with Bob Hartley who was just suddenly filled with joy, zeal, and Holy Spirit’s energy. He must have prayed for 7 or 8 people who were immediately overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit and rendered unconscious. He was jumping over and praying for all his friends including me, and his right-hand man in the professional world then, Juan Swart, and his key assistant, Jeff Lovett, for the love of God to overcome us all. This event was becoming supernatural to me.

Eddie Boasso was there near the front with many young people and he felt waves of the Holy Spirit go through the auditorium. Many Young people were being touched and overcome by the Holy Spirit throughout the huge auditorium. Chris Castanza was right up front too, experiencing the power and Glory of God too. All different kinds of other people were touched and falling under the power of the Holy Spirit. Bob saw Jason Rimmer full of faith and passion pray for three people and they were thrown backwards on to the ground by the power of the Holy Spirit.5

Bob and I saw Kim Callow and ventured towards him from several sections away. When we got to where Kim was at, we were amazed! Gold Dust from Heaven was there on us. It was on Kim Callow, others, and me too…and I was then convinced that God was on the move. It was easily seen on everyone around us, for up to twenty feet away. I even took a picture of it. But, who knows, maybe someone could have thrown gold dust up in the air while no one was looking? That seemed very unlikely though being in the middle of it. You just had to be there to understand how profound this collective experience was for us.

Later, I talked to Wes Hall, and he remembered the dream that he had back in 2000 and realized that the Lord brought him to KC for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. But this didn’t dawn on him until over 10 years after he had the dream and well after the first renewal meetings had started. He didn’t catch the exact meaning of it for 10 years, but in 2000, God clearly spoke to him, “You need to come to Kansas City, because when you speak, the Holy Spirit is going to fall.”

Around this time, I heard that Julie Meyer had a spiritual encounter in which the Holy Spirit took her up into Heaven. While she was there, she was shown around and met different people. As she was up there, she ran into Pat’s mom who said, “That’s Pat.” He was there running around and jumping and leaping for joy. And his mom said to her, “That is Pat and that is what he has been doing since he got here.” So, I began to think maybe Pat had truly been lifted up and healed (through death and beholding God in His fullness and glory, erasing all his pain and suffering being filled with everlasting joy) and everything was going according to God’s perfect plan and His divine will. During the renewal meetings, powerful things happened to people: many people were touched by God’s presence, including my two roommates. Some people, out of the many that went, got healed of chronic ailments, diverse pains and their eyesight and hearing of some of those attending really improved dramatically. One woman I personally knew who was nearly paralyzed from the waist down by a very debilitating disease, Guillain-Barre’ syndrome was instantly healed. She came running up to me in the parking lot. And over time there were over seven thousand recorded testimonies. That is A lot!6

However, when listening to prophetic history repeatedly. This did not seem like that which was promised back in the early days of SKCF/KCF. But it was something that you could hold onto years later that convinced me strongly that IHOPKC was of the Lord and it made later attacks by former male and female leaders after October 2023 against it, reprehensible and emotionally devesting. But at that time the world around IHOPKC was mostly not taking notice of the renewal meetings, especially the Kansas City Star. The meetings eventually ended. Concerning Pat when Mike gave out the prophetic history in 2009, why were the prophecies about Pat just a tiny little blip on the prophetic history radar screen? I know I was not the only one who was disappointed by that. One person who went to many of these meetings and did not get physically healed was Wes Adams, but he went there in faith, and he was also faithful in many ways to the Lord, His work [writing a Bible], and numerous hours in the IHOPKC the prayer room and years as a Professor at IHOPU.

Back in 1990 Michael Sullivant had a meeting with Bob Jones and the subject of Pat came up. Now up until this time Michael had not heard any doubt expressed by Mike or Bob concerning Pat’s physical healing. But Bob Jones wanted to make sure that Michael understood, and he made it clear to Michael at that time that he never said that the interpretation of his vision meant that Pat was going to get physically healed. So, Michael wrote that statement down and Bob signed it, and Michael put in a folder in the MVF office but never made this public. Now a short time later Michael had a powerful and intense dream about Pat. It was as if Michael was in Pat’s body. Others were around him and it was like they (Michael and the others) knew the date and the time in the future on whether or not this miracle was going to take place; and then Michael being Pat rolled off the bed hit the ground and stood up.
